Our Programs and Services

Castlemaine District Community Health aims to assist people and communities in the Mount Alexander Shire to access primary health services and to facilitate activities that support health and well-being of individuals and communities.

We understand good health includes physical, mental, emotional and social well-being and aim to provide a broad range of services and programs to reflect this.

Our Centre is located in Castlemaine and also offers outreach programs to the communities within the Shire where particular needs are identified.

Accessing Services and Programs
Services provided by Castlemaine District Community Health are available to anyone living, working or studying in Mount Alexander Shire.  

Referrals
In many situations you will not need a referral to access our programs and services. 
Please contact reception on (03) 5479 1000 for more information regarding accessing services and referrals.

Information for Health Care Professionals
We encourage service providers to refer via  Connecting Care, a secure and encrypted eReferral system.  Doctors or health professionals can access more information regarding the Connecting Care eReferral system by visiting www.connectingcare.com   Otherwise written referrals can be sent to

Cost: We strive to provide affordable health care to the community and charge low fees for our services.

Should payment of this fee stop you using our service, please make this known to the Receptionist.
