The Board of Directors sets the Strategic Directions for the organisation. These are translated into goals for our work and the Stategic Plan is a roadmap by which we achieve our common vision.

‘In 2015, the Board decided it was appropriate to seek our new auditors for CDCH as the organisation had been with the previous auditors, Richmond Sinnott & Delahunty, for a number of years.  AFS & Associates Pty Ltd, were selected from a number of audit tenders received. AFS & Associates undertook the 2016 financial year audit as a result.’

Experience
A lawyer and lecturer with a social justice background and a long term Castlemaine resident.

Recipient of Victorian Government Governance scholarship 2013 and subsequent Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Currently also Chair of Castlemaine Childcare Cooperative and Deputy Chair of the Natural Resource Management Committee of the North Central Catchment Management Authority. Currently completing a PhD in Law at La Trobe University Bendigo.

 

Jon AnsteyJon Anstey - Deputy Chair

Masters of Law, Masters of Social Sciences in International Relations, Graduate Diploma, Applied Finance and Investment, Graduate Diploma Law, Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts

Experience
Jon has 20 years experience executive/professional roles in management, strategy, innovation, governance and law. He has established and lead multi-disciplinary teams in more than twenty countries. Jon holds board roles in environment, art and sport sectors and joined the CDCH board in 2016.

Jon is the Executive General Manager, Strategy & Business Innovation at Coliban Water.

 

Derek de Vrieze Treasurer

Bachelor of Business
Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Experience
Derek has over 30years experience in bankiing, tax and accounting. He is currently on the Bendigo NAIDOC Committee, Bendigo Volunteer Resource Centre Advisory Committee, Bank Australia's Reconciliation Action Plan Committee

Derek has a background in community development, accounting, taxation and business advisory.

 

Glenn Brown Director

Experience
Glenn is a career Firefighter with the MFB with over thirty years' experience, operating at the Senior Operational level for nearly sixteen of those years. He had over ten years' experience on the Victorian, then Australian Boards of the Institution of Fire Engineers and was instrumental in the move from a colonial system of governance to a modern Australian framework of governance.

Glenn lives locally with his family. He is the CFA Captain at the Redesdale Brigade and immediate past President of the Redesdale Primary School.

Sarah McAdie Sarah McAdie - Director

Experience
Sarah is an experienced Communications and Marketing executive who has worked in both the Government and Private sectors.She has a strong history in healthcare in both Australia and the UK. Sarah previously worked as a Media Advisor to a Senior Cabinet Minister in the Federal Government, providing extensive knowledge of the Australian political system.

Sarah is currently employed at Bendigo Health.

Experience
Mimi is a self-motivated leader and manager who believes in making a positive difference in the environment I live and work in. I believe in working with people to achieve sustainable change.

Her areas of expertise are operational management with program, organisational and financial accountability; and project management in business process improvement and development projects; in both acute and aged care. Mimi's key skills are change management, strategy development, project management, effective communication, active networking and working across diverse teams.

 

Margaret Bainbridge Margaret Bainbridge - Director

Experience
As a senior executive in the Department of Education and Training, Margaret works with schools to ensure they take the most effective evidence based approaches to improvement and has recently worked with schools in the Mt.Alexander Shire and Castlemaine Community Connect. She has served on the board of West Ed and acts as an advisor to school councils and school boards.

Margaret enjoys living in both Castlemaine and Melbourne.
