EXERCISE & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY PROGRAMS

The many benefits of exercise and physical activity are now well known. Regular physical activity has the ability to reduce the risk of several major chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, as well as promote quality of life and a sense of well-being.

It only takes 30 minutes a day to enjoy these benefits.

To maintain health and reduce risk of health problems, health professionals and researchers recommend at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity on most, preferably all, days.

Castlemaine District Community Health provides a variety of physical activity programs designed to get people involved and enjoying healthy exercise.

Please note that our programs and services are cancelled on Code Red fire danger rating days.
